Walpole Woods is here!!
We are so excited to say all the trees have now been set at the new Walpole Wood.
We had a lovely day for planting. All the children from Anthony Curton Primary walked over and planted at least one tree each (some even did 4). They were fantastically well behaved and had a great time, thank you to the school for bringing them over. They will be able to watch their trees grow with pride year after year, knowing they helped plant the trees..
Phase 1 saw 420 trees of all round colour set by the committee and AC school.
Phase 2 saw 105 trees of all round colour set by the committee, general public and the Wild Hub.
Thank you so much for everyones help with this project. Thank you to the Wild Hub for donating and planting some bulbs, we cannot wait to see them bloom.
We are now sourcing funding to enhance the woods over time. items such as picnic benches, sensory areas, information boards, nature trails etc.
